We have all been waiting for the new MacBook 2020 since the announcement Apple made about its silicon-powered Macs at WWDC 2020. With everyone looking forward to the new Mac 2020 keenly, a recent Apple leak hinted towards a surprise reveal.

Although many leaks and rumors pointed towards a 12-inch Mac that would launch the Apple silicon processor, there has been a visible reference to a 16-inch 2020 MacBook Pro in the latest MacBook Pro leak.

However, it could be an honest mistake. Still, Apple’s leak came from the new release notes for its Boot Camp software that stated “Fixes a stability issue that could occur during heavy CPU load on 16-inch MacBook Pro (2019 and 2020).” As we know that a 2020 16-inch MacBook Pro model doesn’t exist currently.

As exciting it may sound, we have to take it with a pinch of salt. MacRumors readers also suggested that this could be a typo. So everything is in the air for now.

The above tweet was shared by the Twitter user @atharvakale343 showcasing that the same issue was also being fixed in the 2020 13-inch MacBook Pro. Apple is also rumored to unveil its first Mac with Apple silicon at an event on November 17, 2020.

Despite the rumors suggesting a smaller 12-inch model sporting the brand’s own silicon processor, it is a possibility that its other Macs also get a complete do-over running on Apple’s processors. Exciting times are ahead; we sure cannot wait to see how these new processors will compete against the long-running Intel processors.

2020 MacBook Pro 16-inch Rumored Specifications

The Mac Pro 2020 assumed the 16-inch Pro model would come with an Intel Processor as it supports Boot Camp. There is also a talk regarding the 2020 16-inch MacBook Pro to come with ARM-based processors. If Apple allows the 2020 model to follow the 2019 suit, we can expect slimmer bezels and a magic keyboard; which was released back in November 2019.

The 2019 version featured upgraded speakers and microphones along with the AMD Radeon Pro 5000M series graphics. It also featured an SSD storage of 8TB along with a large RAM of 64GB. So, we can safely expect that if the 2020 version arrives with the same features, there may not be a difference in the starting price.

There is much to unfold this year and in the upcoming weeks or months, so stay tuned to our updates regarding Apple’s new Macs.
