Apple Silicon 13-inch MacBook Pro Rumored to Get 12-Core ‘A14Z’ Chip

As promised we are back with some more updates on rumors regarding the potential launch of 13-inch MacBook Pro and 13-inch MacBook Air. Apple’s ‘One More Thing’ event is just a couple of hours away. So, we might take the upcoming leaks with a pinch of salt.

Having said this, one tipster suggested that our expectations of having a MacBook Pro keeping true to its generation of being expensive and sporting powerful internals is indeed true. He claimed that the new machines will likely sport a 12-core chip named the ‘A14Z.’

More Information Speaks About the Lower Price Tag on the 13-Inch MacBook Pro Compared to Apple’s Intel-Powered Machines

Now we know that 12-core chip powering an Apple Silicon Mac has been mentioned. But without any name to label it with. The leaker, 000leaker, has given it one; it is ‘A14Z’ with 8-core chip gracing the lesser powerful 13-inch MacBook Air. Speaking of the 8-core chip, the previous rumors stated that it is almost-identical to the upcoming A14X Bionic.

This also brings us to the fact that the previously leaked benchmark results of the A14X Bionic showed that the custom silicon is an 8-core part and it seamlessly beats the most powerful 16-inch MacBook Pro. However, we cannot ignore the fact that 16-inch Mac Pro is still a one of the reigning machines in the laptop realm of Apple to date.

Taking everything above into account; the 13-inch MacBook Pro armed with 12-core A14Z Bionic can be expected to be an even more powerful machine and cheaper than its intel counterparts. However, the leaker is not certain about the Thunderbolt 3 support in 13-inch MacBook Pro; Apple although has promised that the support will arrive for future models.

Much to your relief, a prototype Apple Silicon Mac was tested out earlier and gave promising results in terms of performance. But it doesn’t stop here, Apple has much more in store for us. According to the incoming reports, Apple is said to be developing A14T chip for its iMac. Also, for its Mac Pro that is said to be half the size of the current one.

Leak: Upcoming Samsung Galaxy M12/F12 Could Pack 7,000mAh Battery

Samsung seems to be working on a budget phone that is being rumored to sport a whopping 7,000 mAh battery. Additionally, this phone is expected to be called Galaxy M12 or Galaxy F12.

It’s not new news from Samsung; this South Korean giant is known to launch budget smartphones with big batteries, as they have for the past 12 months with capacities over 5,000mAh and even 6,000mAh.

What’s This Mystery Samsung M12/F12 Phone?

Considering the size of this upcoming one, we can expect it to give you at least two days of reliable performance. Of course, depending on the phone’s activity and the overall specifications of the device in use.

Speaking of specifications, 91mobiles has released updates on the specifications of the rumored Galaxy M12/F12. So far, this is what has been disclosed by the industry’s reliable sources a few days ago:

Sources revealed some live images of the could-be budget phone, and the back panel has the SM-M127F/SM-F127G etched, which indicates that the smartphone could be called Samsung Galaxy M12 or Samsung Galaxy F12.

Via 91mobiles

Giving the image a good look shows a textured back with Samsungs’ branding at the bottom end. You also see a camera module at the top left corner with four cutouts within and a cutout for LED flash just below. This gives us the idea of the four shooters that this Samsung Galaxy M12/F12 budget phone will house.

One thing that is visibly missing is the rear-mounted fingerprint sensor that the Samsung Galaxy M11 incorporated. This entails that Samsung is opting for embedding the fingerprint sensor in the power button mounted on the side of the phone.

Moving to the bottom side of this frame, you see a Type-C port, a headphone jack, and a speaker grille. On the other hand, the top edge of the frame houses nothing but the microphone.

We have no intel for the front as the phone is still under development in Samsungs’ facility in India.

As for the specifications, they remain a mystery. But taking the predecessor Galaxy M11 into consideration; the phone included a lightweight Snapdragon 450 chipset, a triple rear camera that consists of a 13MP, a 5MP ultra-wide, and 2MP depth shooters. Its battery, however, was 5,000mAh only. Keeping these details in mind, we can expect the upcoming successor to upgrade these specifications. There is no detail on the release date as well, so we will update you will it arrive.

13-Inch MacBook Pro and Air to Be First Apple Silicon Macs, Rumor Has It

Apple officially announced its next special event for November 10 tagged ‘One More Thing’ ; everyone has been invited to tune in remotely at 10 A.M.

In this event of Apple, the company is likely to focus on its much raved about Apple Silicon Mac lineup. A reliable source has shed some light on what to expect. Don’t forget, last we had a MacBook Pro leak that hinted towards a potential 16-inch MacBook Pro launch. Let’s see what the latest update entails.

13-inch What?

A known leaker by the twitter handle @L0vetodream tweeted shortly after Apple’s event announcement with a cryptic message that read “13 inch X 2.”

Now if we were to jog our minds and decrypt keeping the previous leaks in-check; this could mean that we should expect two 13-inch MacBooks.

To further solidify this leak, recently, a reliable Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo also suggested the same. According to Kuo, two machines sporting Apple Silicon chip could be the new version of the 13-inch MacBook pro and 13-inch MacBook Air. In addition, he also believes that the Apple Silicon MacBook Pro could start shipping in as early as Q4 2020. As for the MacBook air, it may take a back seat and come later winter or early spring.

13-inch MacBook Pro and 13-inch MacBook Air to be Cheaper

As for the pricing details on both the 13-inchers, 000leaker suggested that Apple wants its new 13-inch Apple Silicon lineup to be cheaper than its intel-based counterparts in hope to increase and encourage the buying power of the consumers.

Apple has become the hub of countless leaks and rumors associated with not just its Silicon-powered Macs but some rumors even hint towards a new Apple Silicon-powered iMac debuting in 2021. Exciting time ahead and we are definitely excited.

Now as for the 16-inch MacBook Pro releasing this November, it could be just a rumor after all. But there’s a talk of a 14-inch Mac Pro that both Kuo and L0vetodream have deemed not to expect until much later in 2021. There’s a lot to take in; but with a pinch of salt as the official announcement by Apple could reveal something else entirely. Nonetheless, rumors and leaks are what we have to rely on for now

Apple’s November event will be live-streamed on Apple’s website. Additionally, the live-stream will be available on the Apple TV app as well, and likely on YouTube.

MacBook Pro Leak Hints at Apple Releasing 16-inch Laptop This Year

We have all been waiting for the new MacBook 2020 since the announcement Apple made about its silicon-powered Macs at WWDC 2020. With everyone looking forward to the new Mac 2020 keenly, a recent Apple leak hinted towards a surprise reveal.

Although many leaks and rumors pointed towards a 12-inch Mac that would launch the Apple silicon processor, there has been a visible reference to a 16-inch 2020 MacBook Pro in the latest MacBook Pro leak.

However, it could be an honest mistake. Still, Apple’s leak came from the new release notes for its Boot Camp software that stated “Fixes a stability issue that could occur during heavy CPU load on 16-inch MacBook Pro (2019 and 2020).” As we know that a 2020 16-inch MacBook Pro model doesn’t exist currently.

As exciting it may sound, we have to take it with a pinch of salt. MacRumors readers also suggested that this could be a typo. So everything is in the air for now.

The above tweet was shared by the Twitter user @atharvakale343 showcasing that the same issue was also being fixed in the 2020 13-inch MacBook Pro. Apple is also rumored to unveil its first Mac with Apple silicon at an event on November 17, 2020.

Despite the rumors suggesting a smaller 12-inch model sporting the brand’s own silicon processor, it is a possibility that its other Macs also get a complete do-over running on Apple’s processors. Exciting times are ahead; we sure cannot wait to see how these new processors will compete against the long-running Intel processors.

2020 MacBook Pro 16-inch Rumored Specifications

The Mac Pro 2020 assumed the 16-inch Pro model would come with an Intel Processor as it supports Boot Camp. There is also a talk regarding the 2020 16-inch MacBook Pro to come with ARM-based processors. If Apple allows the 2020 model to follow the 2019 suit, we can expect slimmer bezels and a magic keyboard; which was released back in November 2019.

The 2019 version featured upgraded speakers and microphones along with the AMD Radeon Pro 5000M series graphics. It also featured an SSD storage of 8TB along with a large RAM of 64GB. So, we can safely expect that if the 2020 version arrives with the same features, there may not be a difference in the starting price.

There is much to unfold this year and in the upcoming weeks or months, so stay tuned to our updates regarding Apple’s new Macs.

Apple’s New iPhone 12 Upgrade Warning Includes MagSafe Chargers

Apple’s new happening line of its latest iPhone 12 range has proven to deliver exceptional performance. Although at a high price. However, Apple also generously served its consumers with several warnings for upgrades.

MacRumors went through Apple’s new support document and revealed some warnings given by Apple. In that support document, Apple had warned users regarding some significant downsides to its innovative new MagSafe wireless charging system. These concerns extend further from just weak magnets.

Apple Warns Users About Potential Harm from its MagSafe Chargers

At the end of the document, Apple, in a series of bullet points, warns buyers of iPhone 12 series phones that MagSafe can:

  • Increase the heating and restrict the charging process. Apple said that if your iPhone gets “too warm,” then the charging will be limited. Which means at only 80% maximum.
  • If the magnetic strips and RFID chips present in credit cards, security badges, passports, and key fobs come in between the iPhones and the MagSafe chargers, they will be damaged.
  • Leather cases that were used with the charger were left damaged with ‘circular imprints’; similarly, silicon cases have also been reported to be damaged with just a few days of use.

It doesn’t stop here; Apple also mentioned something alarming as well.

The iPhone manufacturer mentioned that replacing damaged iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro rear glass would cost around $449 and $549, respectively. You do have the option to buy Apple’s AppleCarePlus insurance policy. But minor wear and tear are not included in this insurance. This brings us to the only resort that is purchasing a MagSafe-compatible case from Apple for $50.

Beware, the cost keeps adding up from this point onwards. Apple’s support document states that “your iPhone charges less quickly [with MagSafe] when using a power adapter that provides less than 20W”. Now, do note that Apple has never sold a 20W charger with any previous iPhone. With chargers removed, you are looking at an additional cost of $20.

MagSafe in itself has massive potential, and with third-party accessory compatibility, there is a lot to look forward to. This said, Apple’s warning shouldn’t be taken lightly. If anyone is planning on upgrading to the iPhone 12 model, you may want to wait for the next generation of MagSafe. Which might launch with the iPhone 13 in upcoming years.

Amazon Fire TV Stick to Get Hands-Free Update Using Alexa Devices

Technology is progressing fast with virtual reality, artificial intelligence, and more not being a ‘futuristic’ possibility anymore. Amazon being the world’s largest retailer, is keeping up with the advancements. It is working on its popular Amazon Fire TV Stick devices and giving them an upgrade that consumers will thank Amazon for.

Amazon Fire TV Stick Update – From Manual Maneuvering to Hands-Free

As we all know that the Amazon Fire TV Stick option is accompanied by a remote control that helps you navigate through the user interface. The remote also has a feature that enables you to control your Fire TV Stick through voice commands. You simply press and hold down the mic button.

However, now, Amazon is taking a step ahead. It is planning on relieving its consumers from reaching out for the remote every time. Instead, according to an update on AmazonFireTV Blog, Amazon is soon releasing a hands-free feature. This feature requires an Alexa-enabled device so you can control content from your voice from anywhere at the given radius, much like Echo Show.

Sounds like cozy and lazy Netflix winter nights where you don’t have to take your hand out of the blanket – Bliss!

This new update is basically what Amazon coined as ‘Visual Experiences on Fire TV.’

It Gets Better

Alexa gives you an additional feature of taking complete advantage of the TV screen. You can view live smart home surveillance camera feeds, check the weather, and other commands that require visual responses. Further, you can play a movie, TV show, or search for any new content.

Let’s Get Started by Automatic Pairing – Simply Ask Alexa

It’s quick and easy. All you require to do is ask Alexa to play something and then confirm whether you want your Alexa device to control your Amazon Fire TV.

This automatic and flash pairing is enabled on all Echo devices excluding Echo Show/Spot. For that, you would have to use the Alexa app to pair the device to Fire TV. In case you need extra help, follow these instructions and you are all set for a great hands-free display.

Alexa Commands for that Visual Experience on Fire TV

In order to enjoy the famous Alexa experiences hands-free while connected to your Fire TV, all you have to say is “Alexa, show me….” before your request.

For example, “Alexa, show me the weather forecast” or “Alexa, show me my calendar.”

What’s best is that you can quickly navigate through the content with the generic Alexa phrases like Alexa, find horror movies” or “Alexa, show rock music playlist” and if you have to check your baby’s camera feed, you can then say “Alexa, show me baby camera.”

This is the convenience and quick navigation, that too hands-free, Amazon is aiming at. This great feature is expected to roll out to Fire TV devices in the upcoming weeks. So be sure to stay tuned!

AirPods Pro 2 Leak Suggests Price, Release Date & Minor Improvements

If you go back to when the AirPods Pro first launched, the wireless earbuds came with all sorts of substantial upgrades. Those upgrades included a compact design, better battery life, and a new addition of noise cancellation.

Now with AirPods Pro 2, the expectations to amplify the AirPods Pro upgrades further providing a more refined premium product with stellar experience are high. However, it will take some time before the product hit the shelves and online store.

Tipster Shares About AirPods Pro 2 Launch Timeline – Says We Could See Them Earliest in Q4, 2021

LeaksApplePro gave us some insight regarding AirPods Pro 2 launch that isn’t going to be anytime soon; the best-expected launch timeline is the fourth quarter of 2021. He also stated that there is a possibility of seeing them as late as Q1, 2022. So, in case you were planning on getting the AirPods Pro 2 in hopes of getting your hands on the latest one, we would highly suggest purchasing the AirPod Pro that is available at a great discount.

AirPods Pro 2 Expected to Be Priced The Same as the AirPods Pro – $249

LeaksApplePro also mentioned that the price of Apple AirPods Pro 2 is expected to be the same as AirPods Pro( $249 ), but with additional improvements. Those improvements, for example, he mentions is the battery life that will be improved. Now, exactly how much is what was not included in the leak. If we could take a guess given their size, it could be improved by at least 30 minutes to an hour. However, that is still a guess but would be a great battery life upgrade.

LeaksApplePro expects noise cancellation to be incorporated within the AirPods Pro 2. But if you are looking for a premium set of noise cancellation feature in your earbuds, then we recommend waiting for the AirPods Studio. Better yet, if you can, then buy high-quality over-the-head wireless headphones that are front runners of this domain.

So far, according to the tipster, AirPods Pro 2 will not arrive with mammoth upgrades compared to its predecessors. This entails, that if Apple continues to sell the first-generation AirPods Pro, then given their pricing strategy, the price tag on these will reduce significantly giving us excellent value for money.

Having said all that, the above information should be taken with a pinch of salt as it is not official news. We’ll keep you updated with more AirPods Pro 2 news as it comes; so stay tuned.

Galaxy S21 and S21 Ultra Leaks Show Stunning Samsung Flagships

iPhone 12 has taken over the news with Apple shipping first iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro pre-orders already. However, Samsung isn’t too far behind with its brand new Galaxy S21; the leaks so far have a lot of claims regarding its camera bumps and the overall design.

If you have already made a guess on the leaker then you are most definitely right on the money. The revered smartphone tipster, Steve Hemmerstoffer, famously known as @onLeaks has spilled major beans on Galaxy S21 and the Galaxy S21 Ultra.

So, what can we expect from Samsung’s next flagship that could arrive as early as January 2021? Sooner than usual, right?

Samsung Galaxy S21 Utra Leaks

Well, according to @onLeaks’ Samsung S21 renders that are based on leaks show a massive camera bump that cannot escape anyone’s eyes. Housing at least 4 shooters in Ultra model with a flash and is almost half of the phone’s width could either be a favorite or a complete miss for the consumers. As for the regular model, the renders show three shooters, only.

Samsung S21 Leaks

@onLeaks further tipped that Samsung may fit not one but two zoom cameras. Although the leaks do not show any S-Pen Support, the famous leaker didn’t rule out the possibility either.

The exterior profile doesn’t provide much information apart from the obvious difference of Bezels that are almost non-exist in Galaxy S21 Ultra while the smaller member seems to sport thicker more visible bezels. Hopefully, this isn’t just Samsung trying to upsell its more expensive variant.

Samsung S21 release date

Again, there isn’t an in-depth leak on the specs that the Samsung Galaxy S21 will sport. However, @onLeaks revealed that the Galaxy S21 Ultra will have a display between 6.7 to 6.9-inches with a slightly curved screen, measuring around 165.1 x 75.6 x 8.9mm with 10.8mm additional with the camera bump. This makes the S21 Ultra slightly smaller than its predecessor. On the other hand, the regular Galaxy S21 matches S20 in measurements and screen size; making it 151.7 x 71.2 x 7.9mm with 9.0mm of the camera and 6.2 inches of the display respectively.

Check out @onLeaks’ 360 video for closer inspection.
